Fefco catalogue
The FEFCO catalogue constitutes a collection of basic cardboard packaging designs developed by the FEFCO and ESBO organisation, as an official system that replaces complex cardboard packaging design descriptions with simple symbols. It allows you to easily determine the type of packaging, its manufacturing technique, or the closing method without having to design it from scratch. The box designs in the Fefco catalogue are presented from the inside of the packaging. Fefco catalogue on an international scale
FEFCO and ESVO are based in Brussels and have been operating since 1952, bringing together national associations of corrugated cardboard manufacturers. Their goals include, for example, developing and promoting innovative solutions, as well as helping the communication between the various manufacturers. Importantly, the FEFCO catalogue ensures that the symbols are understood internationally, regardless of the used language, which is why it is used by thousands of companies producing die cutters and packaging.

The special symbols developed by FEFCO relate to cutting lines, cuts, creasing, handles, manners of joining packaging, and even the direction of the corrugated cardboard wave, allowing for a product that meets all expectations and standards.

Flap boxes are boxes essentially consisting of a single piece, the edge of which is glued, sewn, or which have an adhesive tape connection and include top and bottom flaps. The manufacturer sends them folded flat, ready for use, and closes them using flaps.
Telescopic boxes consist of more than one part and are characterized by the existence of a lid and/or bottom that overlap telescopically.
Folding boxes and trays, usually consisting of only one format. The bottom of the box folds to form two or more side walls and a lid. Some designs may include closures, handles, windows, etc.
These boxes consist of more parts (inner parts and wrappers), which can be slid one into the other in different directions. This group also includes wrappers for other boxes.
Permanently joined boxes consist of two separate end pieces and a body and require either stitching or a similar operation before they can be used.
These are glued boxes, usually consisting of one piece, delivered folded and ready for use after simple assembly.
Internal fitting of boxes, such as inserts, spacers, trusses, filler inserts, etc., which are either related to the box structure or separate. The indicated number of elements is arbitrary and can be increased or decreased as required.
